God’s Remedy for the Exhausted
by Rick Warren

“God wants His loved ones to get their proper rest.” (Psalm 127:2 TLB)
I’ve always been fascinated with the sudden change in the disciples before and after the Resurrection. One minute they’re defeated, and the next minute they’re dynamic. One minute they’re crushed, and the next minute they’re confident. One minute they’re having a pity party, and the next minute they’re taking on the world.

What made the difference?

When you personally meet a resurrected Jesus Christ, you become a more confident person. You can see this in the disciples in John 20.

John 20:19 says, “That Sunday evening the disciples were meeting behind locked doors because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders. Suddenly, Jesus was standing there among them! ‘Peace be with you,’ he said. As he spoke, he showed them the wounds in his hands and his side. They were filled with joy when they saw the Lord!” (NLT)

Over the next few days, we’ll look at three things that robbed the first disciples (and that also rob us) of confidence and what the Bible says about how to overcome those obstacles.

First, you can tell the disciples were tired. It was late that Sunday. It had been a rough week. They had Palm Sunday. They had the cleansing of the temple. They had the Lord’s Supper. They had Gethsemane. They had the six trials. They had the Crucifixion. They were worn out!

The most common cause of discouragement is physical and emotional exhaustion. Things look worse when you’re tired. Vince Lombardi said, “Fatigue makes cowards of all of us.”

When you’re tired, you lose your confidence. It’s that simple. What’s the remedy? It doesn’t take rocket science to figure this out. The remedy for physical and emotional exhaustion — and the confidence drain it can be — is rest!

Psalm 127:2 says, “God wants His loved ones to get their proper rest” (TLB). Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is go to sleep. It’s amazing how much better things look after you’ve had a good night’s sleep.

You’ll never be at your best if you’re not getting rest

Fitting

Aside from the pay, I sometimes ask for better reasons for coming to Kuwait and for even better reasons to love walking my way to work each day..I may not appear to be as lonely and as vocal about it like the others but I am too. That’s the truth. But God will really help us see some light as we go along. I am sad, yes but that’s how it is, that’s how we’re molded..

There are number of things..

On common ground..it’s frustrating to me knowing that I cannot just joke over and about something to people whom I do not share beliefs or culture with. Eating sparingly some ground pork &beans, walking around in my fave worn out stroll shorts ALONE and especially sharing thoughts and stories with these heaps without considering anything are just some of the few things that I’d like sana to do but ofcourse certain rule won’t just allow us that and it’s restricting, really. (Knowing myself the way I thought I did will help you understand these angsts) I sometimes feel that I am being stretched by having to understand and having to conform to what is the norm in my workplace. Now I have come to realize other sorts of things especially about myself..

On acquaintances..We all would find some real bunch who would blossom and appear to be FITTING to be called a miyembro of the family..we all know that. It saddens me because apparently (and as I was told) not everyone can be called such..because we could also meet others who perceive things differently or those who may say little things about you (though you two have not even met!) I for one have received my fair share of prejudice would you believe? That’s why I have lost some of my lethargic nature, and it’s scary. LOL While others perceive things differently there will be as many others who would choose to understand things and improve with you so don’t fret, kaliwali as they say :) I am amazed that at least I am beginning to find the few fitting ones whom God had hand-picked to be included in that family.

The list could go on..

So I smile..Most of the things over the past seven months remind me that we were all created pantay-pantay no matter how we want to PRESENT ourselves. Saying far from worse things about ourselves will not really make us happy. In the end, admitting that you’re as bright or as dumb like everyone else is the most humbling and rewarding feeling in the world - you are not above or below anyone. Alright. We may be happy or sad, some may feel superior or underling but these are irrelevant because it is God’s way and glory.. it’s always God’s purpose that prevails :)

So I smile again..

CLEAN YOUR KIDNEY IN LESS THAN Php 20.00 (It’s For All About US)

♥♥♥ Years pass by and our kidneys are filtering the blood by removing salt, poison and any unwanted entering our body. With time, the salt accumulates and this needs to undergo cleaning treatments and how are we going to overcome this?

It is very easy, first take a bunch of parsley (MALLI Leaves) and wash it clean. Cut it in small pieces then put it in a pot, pour clean water and boil it for ten minutes. Let it cool down, filter it and pour in a clean bottle. Keep it inside the refrigerator to cool. Drink one glass daily and you will notice all salt and other accumulated poison coming out of your kidney by urination also you will be able to notice the difference which you never felt before.

Parsley is known as best cleaning treatment for kidneys and it is natural!

The Rest is Just Sand..

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day is not enough, remember the Mayonnaise Jar and Two Cups of Coffee..

A professor stood before his Philosophy class and had some items in front of him.

When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and fills it with golf balls.

He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was..

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured it into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls.

He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was..

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else.

He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous “YES”.

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.

“Now,” said the professor, as the laughter subsided, “I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things - God, family, children, health, friends, and favorite passions. Things, that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. The pebbles are the things that matter like your job, house, and car. The sand is everything else — the small stuff.” he said.

“If you put the sand into the jar first,” he continued, “There is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are
important to you…” he told them.

“So… pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Worship with your family. Play with your children. Take your partner out to dinner. Spend time with good friends. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the dripping tap. Take care of the golf balls first — the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.”

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented.

The professor smiled and said, “I’m glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there’s always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend.”

A young man was getting ready to graduate college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer’s showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted.

As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had…

For a while..

I confess..Sometimes it’s hard to break the stronghold of an ill-feeling especially if you get to see the cause everday without you having the time to atleast recover..it’s like, wanting to really tell straight to ITS face that IT’S not funny anymore but ofcourse you just can’t..

Just breathe, pray and you’ll remember what would really matter. That’s exactly what I did today..Now I am feeling fine, ready to sleep..I’m hoping I could do IT an act of kindness tomorrow..I’ve been grumpy..Sorry.
